We were a big group and went for two of their platters (each serves about seven people), and that was spot on! We had so much food left we all left with takeaway boxes. The service was super friendly and surprisingly fast considering our group size. The staff were really patient and even offered us complimentary tea and sweets at the end of the night. We didn’t have a reservation but still got seated easily. The food was delicious, the washrooms were clean, and there’s plenty of seating both inside and outside. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for great food and warm service on Edgware Road. ”

“ Shishawi on Edgware Road is one of those establishments that continues to draw in a steady stream of diners thanks to its location and straightforward Middle Eastern offering. On this visit we sampled the lamb curry, pita bread, chicken shawarma and karak chai. The lamb curry, while not overly complex, delivered a pleasant balance of spice and tenderness, offering good value for its price point. The pita bread was fresh providing the right texture to complement the curry and shawarma. The chicken shawarma had a satisfying flavour, though it leaned more towards the familiar than the exceptional. The meal was rounded off with a cup of karak chai which, though not the finest I have tried in London, was enjoyable and fitting for the setting. The atmosphere and ambience were adequate rather than memorable. Décor and layout serve their purpose, but they do not add much in terms of character. Given the area, parking at £4.50 an hour is acceptable and convenient. Service is one of Shishawi’s stronger points. The staff were polite, approachable and genuinely hospitable, which added warmth to the overall experience. In summary, Shishawi offers decent food for the money in a location that is both accessible and popular. It may not set new benchmarks for Middle Eastern dining in London, but it provides a reliable option for those looking for a straightforward meal in the area. ”

“ I love this place so much I’ve come here with my best friend and husband literally 3 nights in a row. Amazing sheesha yes, but the food is what’s freaking amazing. We’ve tried the hummus, chicken shawarma platters, chicken nuggets, karak, and a variety of tea. Highly rec all of these esp their karak tea. The staff is absolutely amazing and make people feel so comfortable. Would absolutely recommend for a great, chill night. Also the heaters during the cold weather? Brilliant. ”
